On June 28, 2024, due to southwest winds affecting Taiwan's weather, central and southern regions, as well as outlying islands, may experience localized brief showers or thunderstorms. Former Director of the Central Weather Bureau, Cheng Mingdian, noted the appearance of an 'arc-shaped cloud line' over the Taiwan Strait, expected to affect southwestern Taiwan tonight. Meteorological observations suggest an enhanced south wind that could bring rain to the area, particularly along coastal regions.
