In an update on Yahoo News, Taichung MRT experienced a stabbing incident on May 21 by a suspect named Hong who randomly attacked passengers with a knife, causing severe injuries to two individuals. Prosecutors concluded that Hong, dissatisfied with society, carried out the attack to gain attention, timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the MRT killing case involving Cheng Chieh. Hong was indicted for attempted murder and public intimidation, with the court ruling his continued detention. Victims' families expressed respect for the judicial decision.
