Taichung's 'Shopping Voucher' program returns with the first wave of 350,000 vouchers set to be distributed from June 20. The vouchers allow people to exchange NT$100 for NT$200, essentially providing a 50% discount and boosting the local economy. Mayor Lu Hsiu-yan announced the return of the vouchers and aims to create over NT$70 million in revenue, encouraging participation from the public. Various marketplaces and industry associations will be involved in the distribution, expanding the benefits further.
