On June 30th, Taiwan's major telecom companies - Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan Mobile, and Far EasTone - officially closed their 3G networks to move into the 5G era. With approximately 530,000 affected users, the shutdown aims to save over 2.8 billion kilowatt-hours annually. VoLTE services will replace 3G for voice calls, and the transition is free of charge. Users can simply enable VoLTE on their devices to continue making calls seamlessly into the future.
