Taiwan's top female doubles tennis player Shuai-Wen Hsieh, who is ranked 2nd in the world, has secured a spot to compete in the Paris Olympics. She has selected 20-year-old Cao Jiayi, ranked 153rd in the world, as her doubles partner. Hsieh announced her participation in the 2024 Paris Olympics on Facebook, expressing her intention to compete as one of the top 10 doubles players worldwide, giving her the freedom to choose a partner from the top 300. The Taiwan Tennis Association confirmed receiving Hsieh's choice and looks forward to the possibility of a second team, pending committee approval before reporting to the National Training Center and the Olympic Committee.
