To encourage young individuals to pursue doctoral degrees, the Ministry of Education in Taiwan plans to introduce doctoral scholarships from the 113th academic year onwards. The scholarships, jointly funded by the ministry, universities, and enterprises, will provide NT$40,000 monthly to doctoral students. The first year aims to support 1,200 students, but over 2,000 applications are expected. The program targets full-time doctoral students in their first to third year, offering NT$20,000 from the ministry and another NT$20,000 from universities and enterprises each month.
