A Taiwanese tour group bus was involved in an accident on a three-lane curve in the eastern part of Geoje City, South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea around 12:30 pm on July 3. The accident occurred when a car entered the opposite lane and collided with a tourist bus carrying Taiwanese visitors, resulting in the death of the car driver and 10 Taiwanese tourists being sent to hospital for examination. One of the tourists suffered a more severe eye injury. The tourism bureau mentioned that the tour group had 19 Taiwanese visitors, with one South Korean driver and guide each on board. The initial investigation indicated that the accident was caused by the car overtaking a center line, leading to the driver's death on the spot. The travel agency has since replaced the tour bus and continued the trip, ensuring the affected tourists are cared for and provided necessary assistance. Police are examining surveillance footage from both vehicles to confirm the exact details of the incident.
