Legislator Wu Chun-cheng from the People First Party emphasized the importance of passing the 'School Meal Act,' stating that Taiwan is already half a century behind Japan and South Korea in this aspect. He urged the Ministry of Education to swiftly propose a version, allowing the Legislative Yuan to discuss and pass it in the upcoming session. Wu noted the need for balancing various issues in system design to achieve consensus on factors such as reasonable profits for providers, parental and school contributions, governmental support, and meeting student needs.
