On June 13, 2024, at 9:45 PM, during Daqian Radio, Taiwanese Air Force-sponsored student Xu Haoming studied at the US Air Force Officer School and graduated in May with excellent grades. His grandmother and mother were in a serious car accident while attending his graduation ceremony in the US and are currently in intensive care, in urgent need of a large amount of medical expenses. The Taiwan Haode Public Welfare Cultural Association swiftly responded, with Chairman King Yi-lang donating one million New Taiwan dollars and calling on seven major business labor unions to launch the 'I Love Air Force' fundraising campaign, aiming to raise over 10 million New Taiwan dollars. King Yi-lang urged all sectors of society to donate generously to support and empower this family. The seven major business labor unions participating in this fundraising campaign include: the National Association of Electrical Appliance Associations of the Republic of China, Taiwan 88 Industrial and Commercial Advancement Association, Yongsheng Pharmaceutical Company, PUMA Hezheng Machinery Company, Weiwei Smile Broadcasting Group, Shengjia Resource Technology Company, and First Store Co., Ltd. These companies and labor unions hope to inspire more businesses and individuals to contribute out of kindness and continue to support the Air Force's emergency relief fund. Given Xu Haoming's family background of hardships where his father made a living by collecting scrap and suffered a stroke when Xu Haoming was two, with his mother juggling part-time work and caregiving, Xu Haoming, as the only child, has been very responsible from a young age, assisting his mother with household chores, excelling in academics, and receiving multiple commendations as a child under family welfare support. He was admitted to the Zhongzheng Preparatory School and the Air Force Officer School with recommendations to study at the US Air Force Officer School on a full scholarship. King Yi-lang, the former General Manager of Yongxing Aviation, has a deep affection and special concern for the Air Force, emphasizing the need to cherish these valuable national defense resources as nurturing a qualified pilot costs billions. Therefore, upon learning of Xu Haoming's family's significant car accident, King Yi-lang immediately instructed the association to help this outstanding young aviator through the ordeal. He called on kind-hearted individuals to generously contribute to resolving the medical expenses issue for Xu Haoming's family, ensuring Xu Haoming's peace of mind and dedication to defending the country's airspace duties in the future. In recent years, frequent aircraft harassments in our national air defense identification zone have posed a serious threat to national defense security. The responsibilities of pilots are more challenging, and young exceptional talents like Xu Haoming are pillars of the country's future. King Yi-lang called on the public to join forces in sending warmth, not only to assist Xu Haoming's family but also to support and encourage Air Force comrades defending national security.
