Taiwan's representative in Japan posted on Facebook that the plane he was on was struck by lightning during takeoff, leading to a loud bang resembling an explosion, causing a scare. The airline confirmed the incident but explained that the likelihood of an aircraft being struck by lightning is low due to its design. Flight instructors emphasized that planes act as conductors and the probability of a direct lightning strike causing harm is minimal. They reassured that lightning incidents involving aircraft are rare and typically not dangerous.
