According to a Ministry of Health and Welfare survey, the average height of 18-year-old Taiwanese males is decreasing by 1.2cm, while females continue to grow taller, with an average height surpassing 160cm, possibly due to the flourishing trend of female sports. Many anxious parents worry about their children's height, commonly resorting to traditional Chinese medicine and bone-strengthening soups, encouraging their children to exercise more and go to bed early. Pediatricians warn that excessive use of electronic devices and late nights can affect children's growth, with parents going to great lengths to help their children grow taller but ending up feeling anxious and seeking medical advice.
