Two brothers surnamed Chen from Hualien's Ji'an Township, ages 21 and 19, went to work in Cambodia in March due to financial difficulties at home. Concerned for their safety, their father reported them missing to local authorities fearing they may have been sold for organ harvesting. The brothers were confirmed safe through a video call with their family, and authorities are investigating possible human trafficking. The brothers are expected to return to Taiwan in August after working as woodworkers in Cambodia.
