Taichung Tungs' Taichung Metropolitan Teaching Hospital responds to the government's telemedicine policy, allowing Taiwanese businesspeople overseas to consult with doctors via video calls and receive prescriptions without needing to return to Taiwan for medical treatment. The initiative, launched on the day the 'Telemedicine Treatment Regulations' took effect, begins in Vietnam with cooperation from various organizations to extend quality healthcare to Taiwanese businesspeople holding health insurance in Vietnam. This project not only improves healthcare accessibility but also addresses uneven distribution of medical resources by utilizing telemedicine to reduce time and cost barriers for medical treatment, ultimately benefiting Taiwanese residing abroad.
