Under the support of mainland Chinese government policies, Taiwanese investments have been steadily moving inland in recent years, with Hubei becoming a key investment destination. The Hubei Cross-Strait Industry Cooperation Zone, established nearly six years ago, has attracted 162 Taiwanese enterprises with a total investment exceeding 10.7 billion USD. Particularly in Huangshi City, a hub for the third largest PCB industry in mainland China, Taiwanese companies have contributed over 50% of the PCB production capacity. The cooperation zone, with branches in Wuhan, Huangshi, and Xiantao, has seen a total of 162 Taiwanese companies investing over 107 billion USD by the end of last year, accounting for 31.2% of the total Taiwanese investment in the province. Continuous efforts to attract high-tech Taiwanese projects and promote industrial clustering have resulted in 43 new Taiwanese enterprises and investments totaling 1.22 billion USD in the past three years. Huangshi Industrial Park, focusing on PCB production, has welcomed 25 electronics-related Taiwanese companies, with an annual output value of 7.25 billion RMB. As of last year, the park's PCB design capacity reached 31.26 million square feet annually, with Taiwanese companies accounting for 52% of the total capacity, making Huangshi the third largest PCB industry cluster in mainland China, surpassing Shenzhen, Zhuhai, and Suzhou.
