Taiwanese Businessman in China Allegedly Dies Suddenly; MAC Asks Taichung Association for Details

An exclusive report by 'The Liberty Times' revealed that Lu Hong-jie, founder of the Wumu Art Museum in Chengdu, Sichuan, China, and a Taiwanese businessman, allegedly died unexpectedly in June 2024 in China and was promptly cremated, leading to questions from family and friends. However, the Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) stated that they have not received any feedback from the family yet and have asked for assistance from the Taichung Taiwanese Business Association to understand the situation. Lu had been involved in Wumu research in China since 2000 and had set up the Wumu Art Museum in Chengdu. The process of his sudden death and cremation has raised suspicions among those close to him.
