The Mainland Affairs Council stated on July 5 that Taiwanese businessman with the surname Lu died in an accident while operating machinery on June 21. He was running a wood art museum in Chengdu, Sichuan and his family and friends raised suspicions regarding the incident. However, the Mainland Affairs Council clarified that it was an accident and they are assisting the family with the necessary procedures. Media reports highlighted the circumstances surrounding Lu's death, including his intention to transfer assets to his son before unexpectedly passing away in China last month. The family believes there may be more to the story, but the council is supporting them in handling the situation and legal matters.
