The death of Taiwanese businessman Lu Hongjie in China sparked concerns as his body was quickly cremated within 3 days after a suspicious accident. Lu had expressed difficulties in transferring his assets back to Taiwan before his untimely death. The Mainland Affairs Council has stated they are assisting the family with the death certificate procedures and inheritance issues.
