Taiwanese Citizens Unite Against Parliamentary Abuse of Power

Reported 8 months ago

On June 20, 2024, six major citizen groups united under the 'Bluebird Action' movement to protest against the potential abuse of power by the parliament. They held a press conference on June 21 at the Jinan Road Citizen Forum. The groups aimed to oppose unconstitutional and power-abusive bills pushed by the blue and white parties. Various initiatives were discussed during the three-day event, including opposing the return of the Youth Salvation Corps' improper party assets, the reinstatement of the CTi News channel, and the establishment of a parliament special investigation team. These actions reflect their determination to hold the opposing party accountable and prevent any further democratic setbacks.
