On July 3, 2024, the Taiwan Public Front once again called for Taiwanese citizens to gather outside the Legislative Yuan on Jilong Road for an event protesting against the proposed amendment to increase the recall threshold in the Recall Law by Kuomintang (KMT) legislator Hsu Yu-chen. They named and urged against eight legislators from the Interior Committee not to allow the amendment to pass, emphasizing that increasing the recall threshold would be undemocratic. Various civic leaders also spoke out against the amendment, warning of further actions if any of the proposed anti-democratic laws by the KMT are advanced.
