Taiwanese College Student Falsely Accused of Drunk Driving Dies in Tragic Accident

Reported 12 months ago

In a fatal accident in Taichung City, a 22-year-old college student named Shi collided with an ambulance in March and was pronounced dead after sustaining critical head injuries. Initial blood tests indicated that Shi had 0.54mg/l of alcohol in his system, leading police to accuse him of drunk driving. However, a retest of his eye fluid later revealed that he was not under the influence. Shi's mother tearfully shared a heartbreaking statement he made before his passing, highlighting his responsible and non-alcoholic lifestyle, and emphasizing that he had never engaged in risky behavior, let alone drunk driving.
