Taiwanese College Student's Death in Ambulance Collision Cleared of DUI Suspicion

Reported 12 months ago

A 22-year-old Taiwanese college student, involved in a collision with an ambulance while riding back home from night school in March in Taichung City, was initially suspected of drunk driving due to a blood alcohol level of 0.54mg/l found in his body. However, a recent retest confirmed that there was no alcohol in his system, overturning the DUI allegation. The student's family and classmates questioned the possibility of him drinking during his commute time and school schedules, leading to the exoneration of the college student by the Taichung District Prosecutor's Office.
