The Food and Drug Administration under Taiwan's Ministry of Health and Welfare announced that 'Good to Eat Food,' a subsidiary of Vermont Curry, imported curry powder from Malaysia with pesticide residues exceeding standards, resulting in 1100 kilograms being returned or destroyed. In addition, three batches of chili powder from South Korea were also found to have exceeded pesticide residue limits and were returned or destroyed. The overall list of 17 items with unqualified products included items like pepper from Indonesia and spreadable cheese from the Philippines, all of which failed inspection due to excessive pesticides or other issues and were returned or destroyed.
