Taiwanese Councilwoman Lin Yi-ting's father, Lin Shijie, who also serves as the director of the Tainan City District Fishermen's Association, was ambushed and fatally shot outside his home while preparing for exercise. He sustained six gunshots to his face and neck, succumbing to his injuries despite being rushed to the hospital. The police found 11 shell casings at the scene and are currently pursuing the whereabouts of the suspect(s).
