In the early hours of the morning in Tainan City, a major shooting incident resulted in the death of Lin Shijie, the father of DPP Tainan City Councilor Lin Yiting. Lin Shijie was found with multiple fatal gunshot wounds in front of his house, with 11 bullet casings discovered at the scene. Investigations are ongoing to determine the motive and identify the perpetrator, with a suspicious vehicle already being targeted. Lin Shijie, who was the current director of a fisheries association in Tainan, had strong connections in the political and business circles of Tainan. His body has been sent to the funeral home, and family members including Lin Yiting have arrived but provided no external statements at this time.
