During a recent international seminar on 'China's Legal Warfare and Anti-Secession Law: Implications for the Indo-Pacific Region,' Qiu Yiren, the former head of the Taiwan-Japan Relations Association, advised the Ministry of National Defense to conduct more intricate studies on the laws of war. He highlighted China's attempts to define military actions against Taiwan as 'internal affairs' post-Russia's invasion of Ukraine to avoid international legal sanctions.
