The Taiwanese fishing boat 'Da Jin Man 88' was intercepted by Chinese coast guard near Kinmen, and the Taiwan Coast Guard Administration dispatched vessels for rescue. Despite efforts to free the boat, it was taken to mainland China's Jinjiang City. The Coast Guard urged China to handle the incident without political factors and to promptly release the boat. This incident marks the first time in Taiwan Coast Guard's 24 years that a vessel illegally entered mainland territory, approaching within six nautical miles and challenging Chinese coast guard boats via broadcasts. Various agencies are coordinating with China for resolution.
