As TSMC's first European factory settles in Germany, Taiwanese flavors are already making their way to the country through a well-known Taiwanese restaurant in Dresden called Taiwan Tapas, offering dishes like popcorn chicken and fried tofu. With the influx of Taiwanese engineers and families due to TSMC's establishment, more Taiwanese restaurants are expected to open in the area. The restaurant even serves a unique version of stinky tofu, called 'fried tofu,' that lacks the intense smell but retains the flavor, impressing many German customers. Additionally, Taiwanese snacks like Wei Lih instant noodles are also available in local supermarkets, hinting at a potential rise in Taiwanese cuisine popularity in Germany.
