A girl surnamed Hsu from Tainan borrowed 6,000 NT from a man named Jiang whom she met online, but couldn't repay the amount. Jiang then suggested that the girl could compensate with her body. When the girl's boyfriend found out, he and 4 friends tricked Jiang into a motel and beat him up. They even set up a scheme to extort 200,000 NT as settlement. Jiang was later sentenced to 6 months in prison for attempted extortion and has the option to appeal. The case involved the girl borrowing money from Jiang due to financial difficulties, and him suggesting sexual favors as repayment. The girl's boyfriend and friends retaliated by assaulting Jiang and framing him for sexual assault in a blackmail attempt.
