Premier Su Tseng-chang led various ministers to the Legislative Yuan for questioning with regards to the proposed amendment to the Act Governing Relations Between the People of the Taiwan Area and the Mainland Area. The ruling Democratic Progressive Party lawmakers had concerns about the safety of legislators visiting China in the absence of regulations, especially in light of former Legislative Speaker Wang Jin-ping's recent visit to China. Premier Su emphasized the importance of safeguarding important individuals and national assets and expressed worries about their safety. Additionally, he criticized China's new regulations targeting pro-independence individuals and reiterated the need for caution when traveling to China due to the lack of legal protection and the potential risks involved.
