According to SET News on June 14, 2024, Taiwanese internet celebrities faced backlash while traveling to China. YouTuber 'Potter King' disclosed that China planned to invite 10 Taiwanese internet celebrities for free filming. The situation led to accusations against celebrities such as Fish Dried, Little Wu, Carter, and Wang Renfu. In response, internet celebrity 'Guji' Wei Jie Chiu urged against witch-hunting without evidence, highlighting that traveling to work in China does not violate Taiwanese law. Guji emphasized the importance of not making baseless accusations as he shared his own experience of being invited to film in China 5-6 years ago but declining due to potential conflicts with values.
