At a press conference in Taiwan, Ma Yu-chen, a legislator from the People's Party, caused a stir by mentioning that she took red dragon fruit seeds back to her home country, Vietnam, but failed to grow them. This led to Agriculture Minister Chen Chun-chi reminding the public about the prohibition of exporting certain plant seeds and emphasizing the importance of respecting Taiwan's agricultural products and regulations. Ma Yu-chen later apologized for her remarks, expressing regret for not being aware of the regulations and urging everyone to comply with laws to protect Taiwan's environment.
