During a press conference on the export of red-fleshed dragon fruit to Japan, Taiwanese legislator Mary Ya-Jhen admitted to cutting Taiwan's red dragon fruit into segments and bringing them back to Vietnam to plant, causing an awkward moment. Although her statement may have been in jest, if true, it could potentially be illegal. Minister of Agriculture Chen Chi-Chi emphasized the importance of protecting Taiwan's agricultural superiority and not easily exporting its seeds to other countries.
