Recently in Beitou District, Taipei City, Taiwanese macaques have been spotted on the rooftops of residential homes. These macaques have been seen engaging in aggressive behaviors, causing concern and fear among residents. City councilor Wang Zhibing has raised concerns about the possible illegal ownership or abandonment of these macaques by the public, leading to their presence in urban areas. Animal protection authorities have increased patrols and urged the public to report any sightings of Taiwanese macaques to address the issue.
