Reported about 1 year ago

On the morning of June 26, 2024, firefighters in Taichung spent over an hour digging to rescue a man surnamed Liao who was trapped in a 60 cm square drain in the Wuri District. Liao, aged 60, was rescued after 5 days of being stuck in the drain, but due to his unstable mental state, he couldn't provide a clear reason for his situation. Emergency services were alerted by residents near Zhonghua Road in Wuri District after hearing faint cries for help. The rescue operation involved 23 personnel using professional equipment to safely extract Liao. Despite showing weakness and confusion post-rescue, he claimed 'I am very rich', with reports suggesting he displayed unusual behavior like dancing in the streets and frequenting drain areas in the past.
