On June 16, 2024, the Tainan Sacrificial Martial Temple, a national monument with over 350 years of history, was vandalized with graffiti by a woman wearing a hat. The incident was reported to the police, leading to the apprehension of the offender who confessed to the act. She was recently sentenced to 6 months in prison for damaging the ancillary facilities of a historical site under the Cultural Heritage Law.
