Taiwanese Democratic Progressive Party councilor Lin Yiting's father and Tainan Fisheries Association director Lin Shijie was fatally shot at close range by gunmen lying in wait outside his residence on Xin Le Road in the Nan District at around 5 a.m. when he was leaving for a morning hike, succumbing to his injuries despite emergency treatment. Surveillance footage now unveiled captured the chilling moment of the assailant shooting Lin, who had no chance to defend himself, multiple times. The gunman fled the scene within 8 seconds after the brutal attack.
