The Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics announced that the average monthly salary of all employees in Taiwan is 46,000 NTD, which could reach up to 63,000 NTD with bonuses and overtime included, causing criticism among legislators. Executive Yuan's Premier Su Tseng-chang stated on June 14 that efforts will be made to raise salaries in all industries and proposed using median salary calculation to be more representative. Additionally, 104 Job Bank reported a severe talent shortage in Taiwan, urging employers to focus on employer branding and invest in making Taiwan a sustainable talent base amidst rising demand for recruitment and declining job seekers. The Ministry of Economic Affairs emphasized the need for AI talent and promised to support industries through relevant training programs.
