Taiwanese Owe It? Hsieh Lung-jie Exposes Carbon Emissions Trading Center Landlord Allegedly Embezzling Over 20 Billion Taiwan Dollars

Reported 12 months ago

To establish a transparent and voluntary emission trading market mechanism, the Carbon Emissions Trading Management Measures were officially implemented on August 15 this year. However, legislator Hsieh Lung-jie alleged that the Taiwan Carbon Emissions Trading Center was set up in a building owned by the 'Chin-Pao' company, which was previously involved in embezzling over 20 billion Taiwan dollars in the mine hunter case. Hsieh questioned whether it's the debt of Taiwanese people, highlighting concerns about the selection of the trading center location and urging for an investigation into the rental and renovation costs. Hsieh also mentioned that the Prime Minister promised a judicial investigation and assured to report back to the legislature.
