In the early morning of July 8, Lin Shijie, the father of Tainan City Councilor Lin Yiting, was fatally shot multiple times near his home in Taiwan. Police found 11 bullet shells at the scene, with two taxis nearby also hit by bullets unexpectedly. The incident shocked the taxi drivers as one of their vehicles had bullet holes in the engine hood. The perpetrators are currently at large.
