In a recent victory for justice, Taiwanese police successfully dismantled an international scam group that lured individuals with promises of high-paying jobs to engage in fraudulent activities in countries like Cambodia. Led by a 36-year-old man surnamed Yang, the group used social media platforms to deceive targets into jobs like gambling or game customer service, then held them captive in hotels and forced them to participate in illegal activities. Police arrested Yang and four others involved, rescued victims held in Cambodia like a man surnamed Wu, and urged the public, especially youth seeking employment, to beware of unlawful recruitment ads and traps to protect their legal rights and uphold social justice and safety.
