On June 13, 2024, at 2:46 AM, a 28-year-old police officer from the Sanxia Police Station in Taiwan fell to his death while hiking in the Yan Mountain Trail. The officer, surnamed Lin, went missing during a hiking trip on his day off, prompting his family to report him missing. Search efforts using his mobile phone's location led to the discovery of his body in a 5-meter deep mountain depression near the Yan Mountain Park. The exact cause of death is yet to be determined. Lin, a graduate of the Taiwan Police Special School, lived with his wife in Sanxia District. Authorities praised his exceptional performance at the police station and vowed to assist his family with funeral arrangements.
