The show's topics and scripts are said to have had input from the Xinhua journalist, aiming to convey the expected effects of the Chinese Communist Party. Despite the vast difference in requirements, only one TV station agreed to cooperate, adapting a popular talk show format to meet the demands, including discussing specific angles favored by the Taiwan Affairs Office like criticizing the DPP government.
