Reported 11 months ago

A recent conflict on a Taipei MRT Priority Seat sparked discussions among Taiwanese netizens, prompting Miaoli County Councilor Zeng Wenhui to share his discomfort of feeling pressured whenever he rests in a Priority Seat. Zeng suggested renaming the seats to 'Priority Seats' and adjusting the proportion of them, as well as reducing the visual and spatial differences between Priority Seats and regular seats to ease passengers' psychological burden. He emphasized the importance of a respectful culture around offering seats to those in need, acknowledging that tensions can arise when entitlement and moral pressures come into play in such situations.
