The chairman of the Cross-Strait Exchange Foundation, Zheng Wencan, was brought in for questioning by the Taoyuan prosecutor's office on suspicion of involvement in corruption related to a land change case in Guishan, Taoyuan. He was detained on his birthday after allegedly assisting in a failed urban planning change in return for a payment that he later returned. The prosecutor's office has requested his detention as the investigation progresses.
