Taiwanese Public Divided over Satisfaction with Tsai's Cabinet's Performance

Reported 8 months ago

A recent survey by the Taiwan Public Opinion Foundation revealed that about 43% of Taiwanese adults are generally satisfied with the overall performance of Premier Tsai Ing-wen's cabinet, while around 25% expressed dissatisfaction. Political analyst Yu Ying-long noted that over 30% of the population is still in a wait-and-see mode. The survey also compared the initial month's satisfaction ratings of various cabinets since the Democratic Progressive Party returned to power in 2016. Tsai's cabinet started with a 43.1% satisfaction rate, indicating a relatively stable start but with a significant portion still observing. The survey was conducted nationwide from June 11-13, 2024, involving 1070 adults and had a margin of error of approximately ±3%.
