Taiwan's representative to the US, Yu Da-han, was exposed by a magazine for several controversies, including allowing his wife to treat diplomats as servants, purchasing numerous luxury items, and complaining about former representative Xiao Meiqin in front of foreign guests. Senior media figure Zhou Yucou suggested replacing Yu with someone trusted by President Tsai Ing-wen and Vice President Lai Ching-te to prevent negative rumors from escalating, affecting Taiwan's image, and creating difficulties for the US. President Tsai has requested relevant authorities to investigate and handle the situation, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will review the procurement processes and approve any legal items. Zhou emphasized the importance of a swift resolution to avoid negative impacts on Taiwan's relations with the US.
