New Taipei City Health Bureau received reports of suspected food poisoning cases related to 'Hungu Curry' in Far Eastern Plaza in Taipei. Customers experienced symptoms such as diarrhea and vomiting after dining, leading to hospitalizations and orders to cease operation. One child even had 20 episodes of diarrhea, testing positive for Salmonella bacteria. Health authorities are investigating the incident, conducting tests on food samples and individuals, with potential legal actions under the Food Safety and Health Management Act if confirmed. This marks the second suspected food poisoning case involving 'Hungu Curry' within a year, prompting the temporary closure of the establishment pending improvements and regulatory approval for resuming operations.
