Five Taiwanese individuals escaped from the KK Park in Myanmar where they were lured by a fraud group for scam-related work. The victims revealed that in the park, they faced punishments like being shaved bald or beaten when resisting, and even one person was shot dead while attempting to escape. The three main perpetrators were sentenced for 4 years 8 months, 4 years 2 months, and 3 years 8 months respectively, but they can appeal the decision. The victims were deceived by false job postings and ended up in a nightmarish situation with limited freedom, harsh punishments, and even mercenary guards present. They each had to pay over 200,000 NTD to buy their freedom and return to Taiwan, where they reported the incident to the authorities, leading to the prosecution of the fraud group.
