In Pingtung, Taiwan, a 17-year-old teen surnamed Chen allegedly got into a verbal altercation with a soldier named Wang who was on leave, at a shrimp-fishing site. Chen, reportedly intoxicated, fatally stabbed Wang with a knife after an argument. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Wang succumbed to his injuries due to excessive blood loss. Chen was apprehended by the police and charged with murder, with the case under investigation by the authorities. The incident has prompted increased security measures at local sites prone to such incidents, and the Taiwan military has expressed regret over the soldier's tragic death.
