According to SET News on June 8, 2024, Taiwanese believers at the Yanshui Dazhong Temple have noticed over the years the beard and eyebrows of the deity Fudezhengshen kept getting longer with the beard now reaching 7 feet 6 inches. Some attribute this to the deity's grace while a chemistry teacher suggests it may be due to the material of the beards. Experts have been brought in to examine the phenomenon, which has also been observed at other temples with deities' beards growing longer mysteriously, sparking discussion and curiosity among worshippers.
